Are you buckling under the weight of great expectations? Perhaps from others, from yourself – or from a combination of both? It’s quite common. I meet and coach many people who feel burdened by all sorts of ideas on what they should be, do and achieve.
Of course there’s also relationship between expectation and disappointments. That’s not to say you shouldn’t have goals, dreams and wishes, but it’s worth noting that if you live life based on how you expect things to be then you may well wish out on the richness, joy, learning and possibilities of life.
