So after a long wait (since 1948) the London 2012 Olympics open tomorrow and will aim to inspire not just a generation of athletes and sports stars but people of all walks of life across the globe.  As a life coach, motivational speaker and business coach,  I’m very much influenced by the approach to coaching in sport. I particularly am inspired to the holistic mind, body and spirit approach that athletes apply to their lives and careers. Not least as motivation, application, gathering the right team, support, persistence and a healthy attitude is key to success – and to a large extent enjoyment – in any field.

So earlier this week I caught up with Jonathan Welbon, a former sports coach turned coach to Chief Executives, to chat to him about his view on getting the best out of people in sport through to in organisations. I hope you enjoy it and I hope you enjoy and are inspired by the Olympics.
